I tried all kinds of food from kibble to canned, Farmers Dog to Ollie, raw food to home-cooked. And she has always turned up her nose after a short time. I trust this dog food more than I trust my own homemade cooking.
As far as the hormones in the chicken I prepare. Or the bleached white rice, the flash frozen edamame pods, ground lamb, chicken hearts, blueberries. I have no idea what kinds of pesticides or antibiotics or fillers or hormones are in any of those things. AND I DON’T HAVE TIME TO RESEARCH IT EITHER…However, that’s why I leave it up to The Portland Pet Company. They wash all my nutritional anxieties away. I trust their research, quality & genuine concern to give my Papi the best quality ingredients they can offer. Good nutrition for dogs is the same as baby humans. Brain development, strong bones, gut health… it gives our fur babies a chance to spend the most years with us that they can…& if it means spending $6 a pouch for dog food… believe me I’ve gone many a week without, but my Papi is always taken care of. So thank u Portland Pet for taking some weight off my shoulders as far as my puppy’s gut health is concerned.

I have 2 completely rotten pretentiously bouge pups, a Cocker Spaniel and a Dachshund. Originally they were on a high quality kibble but I was having pangs of guilt knowing that I could do better but wasn't.
After researching over twenty (no kidding) home delivery fresh food options, I settled on 4, 2 soft baked and 2 fresh.
My pups literally smiled when I served their first meal. I alternated the fresh with the soft baked every other day to figure out the winning recipe. Little did I know the joke was on me. They loved the texture variety and turned up their noses when I went out of order. Unbelievable! So, they get both now and are most happy with the Portland Pet Food fresh meal plan. They dive into it snout first requiring a thorough wipe afterwards.

We’ve been ordering this directly from PPF for a while now, we first tried it with our girls as a topper but now it’s more mixed in 2/3. Both our girls (2 yr. & 11 yrs.) eat this every single day.
