What is in our products is just as important as what is not.
When we needed a pet food that we trusted most, and that our senior dog would eat, it simply didn't exist. So we started Portland Pet Food Company.
It all starts with trust
Every ingredient is sourced from suppliers we trust. Why do we trust them? We have required them to meet our uncompromising standards of 100% USA grown, processed, manufactured, and sourced. They must produce only USDA / FDA certified human-grade products. They provide us with proof of food orgins, practices, and more.
Our list of ingredients will never include these
No preservatives. No growth hormones. No feed-grade. No meat meal. No fillers. No GMO. No BHA. No BHT. No LFBT (you know this as “pink slime”). No artificial coloring. No artificial anything. All packaging BPA free.
You can buy all of our ingredients
We believe in recognizing the words on an ingredient list. When feeding whole foods you are feeding natural nutrition sources. All of our ingredients are gently cooked to keep and lock in the important nutrients that all of our ingredients provide. We left the highly processed standards of pet food behind, and deliver to you a whole food option that is just as easy to store and serve as kibble. When you open a pouch of Portland Pet Food Company you can see each ingredient, as it should be.
