Description+
Hopkins, the Springer Spaniel, was one of founder Katie McCarron’s first dogs. He was supposed to be a hunter, but he preferred chasing sticks, fetching balls, and handing out slurpy kisses to family and friends. Being English at heart, Hopkins would have loved this pork and potato meal after a long day of play. We created this nourishing meal in his honor and loaded it with good things to fuel your dog’s appetite for adventure.
Simple ingredients. Nothing to hide.
Real food. Gently cooked. No shortcuts.

Pork+
Lean pork provides all 9 essential amino acids in an easily digestible form. It helps to build and repair tissues throughout the body and a small amount provides over half of the RDA for different nutrients a dog needs. It is high in the following: Vitamin B1 helps in carbohydrate and protein digestion. Vitamin B2 does much the same as B1 but also helps with cell growth and a lack of it can cause skin lesions, excess shedding and an oily coat. Vitamin B3 stimulates circulation, processes amino acids, and aids in HCL production. A deficiency of this can manifest itself in dermatitis, diarrhea and dementia. Vitamin B6 is essential for metabolism but more importantly a shortage can cause a host of problems: neurological disorders, anemia, heart disease, tooth decay, dermatitis, swollen tongue and lowered immunity. Vitamin B12 for red blood cells and assimilation of fats, carbs and proteins and to prevent fatigue and impaired neurological function. Magnesium is important for proper muscle and nerve function. Iron promotes healthy red blood cells. Zinc important for a healthy immune system.
Potatoes+
Packed with nutrients, which include: Multiple B vitamins. Potassium and natural sodium to maintain fluid balance for energy and cellular health. Iron for healthy red blood cells and cellular respiration. Magnesium is important for proper muscle and nerve function and if lacking can lead to convulsions and seizures. Vitamin C helps with collagen formation and builds strong bones.
Carrots+
An antioxidant rich vegetable high in: Vitamin A for a healthy immune system, vision and nerve function. Carotenoids, which promote protection against cancer-causing free radicals
Green Beans+
Packed with nutrients including green chlorophyll and are fully digestible.
Eggs+
An excellent form of digestible protein containing riboflavin and selenium.
Pork Heart+
An excellent source of a number of nutrients, including thiamin, folate, selenium, phosphorus, zinc, CoQ10 and several of the B vitamins. In addition, beef heart contains amino acids that are thought to improve metabolism.
Potato Flour+
Grain- and gluten-free, potato flour is easily digestible and relatively low-calorie. Rich in B vitamins, iron, magnesium (bowel and urinary functionality), and potassium for muscle, nerve, and heart health.
Eggshells+
Contains a total of 27 vital elements including: calcium & microelements magnesium, boron, copper, iron, manganese, molybdenum, sulfur, silicon, and zinc, etc.
Sea Salt+
Contains numerous minerals which support blood regulation and nerve signal transmission. It has been shown to aid in alleviating arthritis pain.

Real food. Real results. See how we compare.

The recipe that started it all.
Rosie was our founder's heart dog — and the inspiration behind PPFC. When her sensitive stomach needed better food, we made it ourselves. Today, Rosie's original recipe is still our most-loved.
