Katie McCarron | Top Dog
Katie McCarron, Founder of PPFC, is a Portland, Oregon native. A graduate of Lewis and Clark College (BA, Psychology), she spent her professional career in healthcare administration, education, and business development. Her experience bridges medical research administration and education with a focus on nutrition. Her first business, Academic Network, provided educational programs for national and international food and pharmaceutical companies. After selling Academic Network, she founded PPFC out of the love for her loyal senior Standard Poodle, Rosie. When Rosie's health began to decline and her appetite decreased, Katie began making meals for her at home with limited ingredients that she found locally. Rosie loved the meals and stayed strong for two more years. Today, PPFC's dog treats and fully-cooked meals are sold around the US, as well as in Canada and Japan. Katie's mission has remained the same since founding the company in 2014 - to keep dogs happy and healthy with products crafted using limited, USDA-approved, human-grade ingredients and no supplements or additives.
Favorite activity to do with her dog: Walk the trails of Forest park and discuss the day's events with Winnie, our newest Poodle! She always gives the best advice!
Favorite PPFC product: Rosie's Beef N' Rice, of course! The very first PPFC product named after her best friend.
